
Berg Adds Transfer to 2020 Roster

CORVALLIS – The Oregon State University softball program adds another transfer to the 2020 roster, head coach Laura Berg announced Wednesday. Junior Morgan Allen will join the Beavers for the upcoming campaign.
"I'm really excited about Morgan joining our Beaver Family" said Berg. "I feel she can make an immediate impact defensively and offensively. The experiences that she brings to our team will help us get to the next level."
Morgan Allen – INF/C, JR, Monroe, Wash. (University of Washington/Monroe H.S.)
Holding a .333 on-base percentage, Allen joins the Beavers after appearing in the Women's College World Series with the University of Washington in 2019 and was a member of the runner-up squad in 2018. Allen was brings experience to the Beavers after being a part of the team crowned the 2019 Pac-12 Champions.
Before her time at the University of Washington, Allen earned All-Conference honors at Monroe H.S. for four years. Allen also helped lead Monroe finish third at the state tournament being a captain both her junior and senior years. She holds single season records at Monroe for most hits, doubles and RBIs while also holding career records for hits and doubles. Allen topped her high school career off by being named the First-Team All-Wesco shortstop and the Monroe Female Athlete of the Year.
Daughter of Shana and Troy Allen, Morgan plans to pursue a degree with the intention of working in Sports Management in the future.
Allen joins fellow newcomers Grace Gaither, Rylee Maston, Trystan Melancon, Grace Messmer, Ivana Perez, Valeria Pero and Gin Xiao, all of whom were announced early this year.
