
Benzin, Nishiura Named WGCA All-American Scholars

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Olivia Benzin and Mari Nishiura were named All-American Scholars by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) on Monday.
The criteria for selection to the WGCA All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics with the minimum cumulative GPA being a 3.50.
Benzin, a native of Tacoma, Wash., graduated this year with a 3.54 cumulative GPA in business. She was selected to the Pac-12 All-Academic Second Team in 2017 and earned Pac-12 All-Academic Honorable Mention recognition in 2018 and 2019.
Nishiura, a rising senior from Mililani, Hawai'i, was named a WGCA All-America Scholar for the second straight year for her 3.73 cumulative GPA in accounting. She was selected to the Pac-12 All-Academic Second Team this past spring.

The Women's Golf Coaches Association, founded in 1983, is a non-profit organization representing women's collegiate golf coaches.
