
Berg Signs Another to 2019 Class

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State University softball program announced the addition of one new member to the 2019 signing class on Wednesday, June 5 joining Grace Gaither, Grace Messmer, Ivana Perez and Valeria Pero who signed last November.
Xiao Gin – P/MIF, Fr., San Luis Obispo, Calif. (San Luis Obispo H.S.)
Graduating a year early to join OSU, Gin racked up numerous honors from San Luis Obispo H.S. that she will bring to Oregon State.
Gin was a two-time First-Team All-County selection earning the honor in 2017 and 2018. Her freshman year, Gin earned PAC-8 MVP Pitcher while helping her team become the 2017 PAC-8 League Champions. Her team also voted her Defensive Player of the Year. In 2018, Gin was named the PAC-8 and team MVP after carrying a .509 batting average.
According to Berg: "I'm really excited about the addition of Xiao. She's extremely versatile and a very hard worker. She's young but you would never know that watching her play the game."
The daughter of Sue and Dick, Gin plans to major in kinesiology at Oregon State.
