
Hagstrom, Gray Named as Student-Athletes of the Month

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State Athletics is proud to announce Alina Hagstrom and Tyler Gray have been named as the June Student-Athletes of the Month.
Hagstrom, a senior from Seattle, Wash., has been a key cog in the Beavers' Varsity 8 boat since her freshman season in 2016. This season, the public health major, helped her crew to its first national ranking since 2015 and the Beavers' highest ranking since 2009. A two-time Pac-12 All-Academic selection, she was also named as an All-American by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association in 2018.
Gray, a junior studying BioHealth Sciences, helped his Varsity 8 crew to a 20th place finish at the Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) National Championships over the weekend. Hailing from Eugene, Ore., Gray was a Pac-12 All-Academic First Team selection in 2018 and was also named to the IRA All-Academic Team last year.
Student-athletes are selected each month and are coordinated by the Academics for Student-Athletes staff.
