Hagstrom Named as All-Conference Rower
May 28, 2019 | Women's Rowing
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Oregon State rower Alina Hagstrom has been selected to the Pac-12 All-Conference Team for the second straight year, as announced by the conference office Tuesday.
Hagstrom, a senior from Seattle, Wash., joins Amy Martin (1995 and 1996), Julia White-Hoppe (2003 and 2004) and most recently Kaylie Towne (2007 and 2008) as the only Beavers to earn all-conference honors twice in their career.
She raced exclusively in OSU's Varsity 8 throughout her four-year career. In 2019, Hagstrom, a public health major, helped her crew to its first national ranking since 2015 and the Beavers' highest ranking at No. 16 in March since 2009. Hagstrom, who rowed in the stroke seat in every race this spring, led her crew to a third straight sixth-place finish at Pac-12 Championships earlier this month and helped Oregon State to a fifth-place team finish, the squad's best finish since 2009.
A two-time Pac-12 All-Academic performer, Hagstrom rowed for Team USA winning a gold medal at the U23 World Championships last July.
