Hunter Smith Receives All-Conference Honors

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Oregon State senior rower Hunter Smith has been named to the Pac-12 All-Conference Team, the conference announced Tuesday.
Smith, a mechanical engineering major, has stroked the Beavers' Varsity 8 boat throughout the spring season and has been a key cog for OSU's top crew for most of the last three years. The Roswell, Ga. native helped his crew to a national ranking all season, topping out at No. 17 for four weeks.
Smith and the Beavers recently finished fourth at Pac-12 Championships and qualified to the Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) National Championships this weekend at Gold River, Calif.
It is the first all-conference accolades for Smith, who is also a two-time Pac-12 All-Academic Second Team selection.
