Last Game
Beau Philip and Adley Rutschman each tallied two hits to lead Oregon State but the Beavers dropped a 4-3 decision to San Diego State Tuesday night at Goss Stadium. Philip drove home a run on a single in the second and doubled in the ninth but was stranded at second base on a ground out to end the game.

Rutschman To Posey Award Watch List
Adley Rutschman was named to the Buster Posey Award watch list on Tuesday. The award, which is given annually to the nation's top catcher, was recently re-named for the current San Francisco Giants backstop. It had previously been known as the Johnny Bench Award.

Rutschman & Eisert
Adley Rutschman and Brandon Eisert were named to Perfect Game's Midseason All-America First Team, which the publication announced on Wednesday. Rutschman is batting .420 with eight home runs, 29 runs batted in and 37 walks this season. Eisert is 6-0 with a 0.30 earned run average and 44 walks to just five strikeouts in 30 innings.

Five In Three
Beau Philip's 2-for-5 night on Tuesday pushed his hit streak to three games. He is 5-for-12 during the streak, adding two doubles, a triple, four walks and four RBI.

Eisert Top Pac-12 Pitcher
Brandon Eisert was named as the Pac-12 Conference's Pitcher of the Week on Monday after limiting Washington to four hits and two walks in 6 1/3 scoreless innings Friday. He is second in the conference with six wins and fourth with 44 strikeouts.

Bullpen
Nathan Burns and Mitchell Verburg combined to hold SDSU to three hits and a walk in 4 1/3 scoreless innings Tuesday. The bullpen has allowed just 69 hits and issued 39 walks in 107 2/3 innings this season - a WHIP of just over 1.00. It has struck out 129 and allowed 18 earned runs for an ERA of 1.50.

Singles
• Adley Rutschman's 37 walks this season place him just four shy of tying John Wallace (2009), Ben Bertrand (1998) and Michael Conforto (2013) for 10th-most in a single-season at Oregon State.
• Rutschman has 117 walks, which is three shy of tying Conforto (2012-14), Danny Hayes (2010-13) and Ken Bowen (1984-87) for most in a career.
