OSU Track & Field Prepped for Busy Weekend in Southern California

CORVALLIS – After taking the previous week off from competition, the Oregon State University track & field team is back to the grind this weekend in southern California as they are slated to compete at four different events between Thursday and Saturday.
The distance crew will be competing at both the Bryan Clay Invite hosted by Azusa Pacific on Thursday and Friday. In addition, two competitors in Grace Fetherstonhaugh (steeplechase) and Greta Van Calcar (10K) will run at the Mt. Sac Relays at El Camino College on Thursday.
The Beavers are scheduled to run in three events at the Bryan Clay Invite across Thursday and Friday. Brigette Takeuchi is the lone entry in the 5,000 meters on Thursday. Lexi Reed, Mari Friedman, Haley Wolf, Rebecca Ledsham, and Takeuchi will all participate in the 1,500 meters on Friday, with Ledsham doubling up in the 800 meters as well.
The rest of the travel party will be competing at the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate at Long Beach State on Thursday, and also at the Beach Classic at Long Beach State on Friday and Saturday.
