Beavers Earn First Rankings in 2019 Season

OSU sits No. 25 and tied for No. 23
CORVALLIS – The Oregon State University softball team has broken into the Top-25 in both major polls for the first time during the 2019 season following a 4-0 sweep at the UOP – Libby Matson Tournament in Stockton, Calif. this past weekend.
OSU currently sits No. 25 in the USA Today/NFCA Coaches Poll after receiving 65 points this week, 10 points behind Baylor at No. 24. This is the first time OSU has been ranked in the USA Today/NFCA poll since week six of the 2016 season.
The Beavers are also tied at No. 23 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate poll with Northwestern (11-3) after receiving 55 points this week, 26 points behind Kentucky at No. 22. This marks the first time the Beavers have been ranked in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Poll since the ninth week of 2018.
Oregon State is joined in both polls by five other Pac-12 schools: UCLA (2/2), Washington (5/6), Arizona (12/12), Arizona State (15/17) and Oregon (20/20).
This weekend, the Beavers head to Norman, Okla. for match-ups against two other Top-25 teams: Oklahoma (4/4) and Louisiana (11/11).
