
Rowing Announces Third Annual CRASH Beavs Event

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State Rowing will celebrate the launch of the 2020 Men's & Women's spring racing season on Saturday Feb. 22nd with the CRASH Beavs & Spring Launch Dinner. All alumni, families and fans are invited to gather for a day full of rowing that features current student-athletes and honors the history of the program.
The third annual CRASH Beavs erg event is a unique showcase of current athletes competing in their first 2k erg race of the year. Action is set begin at the TRUAX Indoor Center at 11:00 a.m.
The day will begin with the Third annual CRASH Beavs erg competition where athletes will compete in a 2k erg race over a series of heats. This gives fans a great opportunity to come cheer on the Beavers and get a look at how hard the athletes have been working in anticipation for racing season.
Alumni are then invited to participate in a 2k race of their own or join together with a group of former teammates for a 2k erg relay.
The celebration of spring racing will continue with an evening Social Hour, Silent Auction and Dinner where guests will hear from coaches, current student-athletes, and alumni.
The evening reception, silent auction and dinner will begin at 5:00 p.m. in the Toyota Club level of Reser Stadium. The evening is full of opportunities to socialize with current athletes, connect with alumni and families from across the generations and reunite with former teammates.
Dinner tickets can be purchased in advance at $50.00 per person. New this year is a sponsorship table. Families or businesses are able to purchase a ten person table for $1,000. For more details check out the registration page.
The final day to pre-register for this event will be Thursday, February 20. You may still sign on-site the day of the event for $55. Please contact assistant coach Allison Foster (allison.foster@oregonstate.edu) for further questions about registration.
Men's Rowing will launch into their first race of the season as part of the Lake Las Vegas Invite on Feb. 29-March 1. Women's Rowing will compete in their first race of the season the following weekend on March 7 at Redwood Shores, California in a dual against Stanford.
