Oregon State receives four first-place votes
CORVALLIS – The Oregon State women's basketball team is up to No. 3 in this week's Associated Press poll, the highest ranking in program history.

The Beavers moved up from No. 4 in last week's poll, and are receiving four first-place votes. Oregon State is one of nine remaining undefeated teams in the nation, off to an 11-0 start, the best beginning to a year since the program began keeping records.

Mikayla Pivec leads the Beavers with an average of 15.6 points and 9.9 rebounds per game. Destiny Slocum is at 14.7 points per game, and Taylor Jones is putting up 13.9 points per contest. Pivec and Slocum both earned All-Tournament honors at the Maui Classic last week.

Overall, Oregon State has won its first eight contests by an average of 25.8 points. The Beavers have three wins over teams ranked in this week's AP Poll.

The Beavers will return home Sunday for its final nonconference game of the season, when CSU Bakersfield visits Gill Coliseum.
