Oregon State will head North to Vancouver Lake
CORVALLIS – Oregon State men's rowing is back in action at the Portland Fall Classic on Vancouver Lake. This is the 13th year of the Regatta, and this will be the 9th straight season the Beavers will have competed in the event.
"This is the biggest head race in the state, and we want to make a presence," said Beaver Head Coach Gabe Winkler. "Putting it on Vancouver Lake is fun and the weather looks to be perfect on Sunday for some good racing."
The Beavers will enter boats in both the Men's Collegiate Division 1 Varsity 8+ and the Men's Collegiate Division 1 Junior Varsity 8+ on the 5000-meter course. The first 3000-meters begin on the South East corner of the lake and will move counter-clockwise around the island, finishing on the shorter 2000-meter sprint course.
All four Oregon State Boats will start at 9:00 a.m. There is a parking fee at the event, and it's advised to arrive early as overflow parking may be limited dependent on weather.
