
Beavers Host Union Sunday in First Exhibition Matchup

THE GAME: Oregon State will host its first exhibition matchup of the season, when Union (Tenn.) visits Gill Coliseum Sunday at 2 p.m.

FREE ADMISSION: Admission for the Beavers' exhibition matchups with Union (Oct. 27) and Concordia (Nov. 1) will be free.

TICKETS: Oregon State's Nov. 4 matchup with Team USA will be the first ticketed contest of the year. PLEASE NOTE: The USA exhibition is NOT part of the season ticket package. To purchase tickets, click here. Season tickets for the 2019-20 season are available here.

USA BASKETBALL: The Oregon State women's basketball program will have a unique opportunity on Nov. 4 when Team USA takes on the Beavers at Gill Coliseum. The USA roster features some of the top players ever to play the game, including Sue Bird, Diana Taurasi and Sylvia Fowles. Fans can purchase tickets to the once-in-a-lifetime event here. EARLY SEASON RANKINGS: While neither the Associated Press nor the Women's Basketball Coaches' Association have released their preseason rankings yet, Oregon State has been featured in preseason ranks from several publications. NCAA.com, Lindy's Sports and ESPN's "Way Too Early" rankings all had Oregon State at No. 6, while Athlon Sports tabbed the Beavers at No. 7. ESPN's Charlie Crème projects OSU as a No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament, heading to the Fort Wayne Regional.

WATCH OUT: Destiny Slocum and Mikayla Pivec have both been named to preseason watch lists by the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. Slocum is on the Nancy Lieberman Award list, which honors the top point guard in the nation. Pivec is a candidate for the Cheryl Miller Award, which recognized the top small forward in NCAA Division I.

TOP PROGRAM: Oregon State is one of the most successful programs in the last decade of the sport. The Beavers have appeared in every WBCA Coaches' Poll since the end of the 2013-14 season. Four returning starters and nine overall letterwinners return from last year's team that went 26-8, advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the sixth straight year, and played in the Sweet 16 for the fourth consecutive season. ESPNW has tabbed the Beavers No. 6 in its "Way Too Early" rankings the 2019-20 season.
