THE GAME: The Oregon State men's soccer team heads to California this week for its final two road games of the regular season. The Beavers will take on San Diego State Thursday and UCLA on Sunday.

Quick Hitters:
- Joel Walker has five goals on the season, including three goals in the Beavers' five Pac-12 games.
- Eight different Oregon State players have scored this season.
- The Beavers are 21st in the nation in assists per game with 2.1
- Adrian Crespo is 12th in the nation with seven assists, and Djeffal is tied for 49th with five. The duo has the combined for more assists than any other Pac-12 duo.
- Oregon State is 13th in the nation with 6.7 corner kicks per contest.
- Four Beavers have played every minute this season: Djeffal, Alex Cover, Joe Hafferty and Adrian Fernandez.
- All five of Oregon State's defeats this season have come by a one-goal margin.
- Thursday's match will be the Beavers' fourth-straight road match in a stretch of five consecutive road games.

- Oregon State's match with UC Davis, which was scheduled for Sunday Sept. 29 was postponed indefinitely due to weather. Details on a potential reschedule will be made public when available.

The Matchup:
- The Beavers have won four of the last five matchups with San Diego State, and have earned at least a draw in eight of their last nine.
- Steffen Yeates, Sofiane Djeffal and Joe Hafferty have all scored goals vs. the Aztecs in their careers.
- Oregon State has never won a match at UCLA
- Djeffal, Joel Walker and Gloire Amanda have all found the net vs. the Bruins.

Fortress Lorenz:
- Oregon State was 9-1-2 at home last season.
- The Beavers have won five-straight Pac-12 home games.

Last Season:
- Oregon State tallied the eighth 11-win season in program history.
- The Beavers won an NCAA Tournament game for the second time in program history, beating SMU at Lorenz Field.
- OSU's six Pac-12 wins marked the second-highest conference win total in team history. The Oregon State record for wins in a conference season came in 2003, when the Beavers went 7-3-0 to finish second in the Pac-10.
- The Beavers finished second in the Pac-12, matching the program's best ever finish in the Pac-12/10.
- Head coach Terry Boss was named Pac-12 Coach of the Year.
- Sofiane Djeffal earned Pac-12 Freshman of the Year honors
- Don Tchilao and Djeffal made the Pac-12 First Team, Hassani Dotson and Gloire Amanda made the second team, Eric Diaz and Joe Hafferty were Honorable Mentions.

Bench Boss:
- Head Coach Terry Boss spent extensive time on the USA coaching staff during the NCAA offseason. Boss first join the national team for January Camp, and continued to work with the squad through a number of friendlies, before helping the US earn silver at the CONCACAF Gold Cup in June.
- 2019 marks the second season for Boss, who joined the Beavers after spending the prior four seasons as an assistant coach/associate head coach at Virginia.
- Boss is a native of Philomath, Ore., a town of 4,584 people located approximately five miles west of Lorenz Field.
- Boss played professionally as a goalkeeper for seven seasons, including four seasons in Major League Soccer with the New York Red Bulls and Seattle Sounders FC.
- The goalkeeper also saw time with the Puerto Rican national team, earning seven caps.
- Terry's brother Kevin Boss spent six seasons as a tight end in the NFL, winning a Super Bowl with the New York Giants in the 2007 season.

New Faces:
- Oregon State's 2019 roster features 12 newcomers, including nine freshmen.
- That total pales in comparison to last year's team, which featured 21 newcomers.

The Staff:
- Oregon State's coaching staff features three coaches who have won an NCAA national title. Boss was an assistant coach on Virginia's 2014 championship team. OSU assistant coach Ryan Zinkhan was a forward on that 2014 Virginia squad, while Beaver associate head coach BJ Craig won the 2013 title as part of Notre Dame's coaching staff.
- Craig spent 10 years on the Notre Dame coaching staff, putting together a record of 122-55-35 during that time.
- Zinkhan played in 78 career games for Virginia, including a pair of runs to the Final Four of the College Cup.
- Clint Long was a goalkeeper at Oregon State, before transferring to CSU Stanislaus, where he earned several conference and national awards.

Dam Worth It
- Former Beaver Nathan Braaten was intrumental in starting the Dam Worth It program at Oregon State. The program, which was spearheaded by Braaten along with former OSU gymnast Taylor Ricci, was designed for student-athletes in order to decrease the stigma surrounding mental health through education and awareness.
- Dam Worth It won the Giant Steps Award for Civic Leaders. The Giant Steps Awards are given out annually by the Institute for Sport and Social Justice.
- Oregon State goalkeeper Evan Munn has now taken over a leadership role with the program.

SuperDrafted:
- Hassani Dotson and Don Tchilao were both selected in the second round of the 2019 MLS SuperDraft, making Oregon State one of six NCAA teams to have two players taken in the top 36 picks.
- The Beavers have had 11 player taken in the MLS Draft all-time, headlinged by No. 1 overall pick in 2010 Danny Mwanga and No. 2 overall pick in 2015 Khiry Shelton.
