Beavers To Face Sun Devils Thursday In Tempe

vs. ARIZONA STATE: Oregon State and Arizona State are meeting for the 89th time with the Sun Devils holding a narrow 45-43 edge in the series. ASU has a 29-12 advantage in games played in Tempe, including nine consecutive wins. The Beavers' last victory at Wells Fargo Arena came on Jan. 13, 2007 (67-59).

The teams are 4-4 in their last eight meetings.

The teams split last season with each winning on their home court. The Sun Devils won the first meeting, 77-75, on Jan. 13 when they were ranked No. 17 in the nation. Stephen Thompson Jr. scored 21 points and Tres Tinkle posted a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Beavers. Shannon Evans II paced Arizona State with 22 points.

The Beavers won the second meeting, 79-75, on Feb. 24 in their final regular-season home game. Five Oregon State players scored in double figures -- Drew Eubanks 16, Tres Tinkle 15, Alfred Hollins 14, Stephen Thompson Jr. 13, Ethan Thompson 12. Tra Holder had 23 points to lead the Sun Devils.
