
Beavers Rowing Announce Spring Launch Dinner

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State Rowing will celebrate the launch of the 2019 Men's & Women's spring racing season on Saturday February 23rd with the CRASH Beavs & Spring Launch Dinner. All alumni, families and fans are invited to gather for a day full of rowing that features current student-athlete's and honors the history of the program.
The second annual CRASH Beavs erg event is a unique showcase of current athletes competing in their first 2k erg race of the year. Come out to Truax at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday the 23rd to cheer on the Beavs and get a glimpse into the hard work that has been going on within the programs thus far.
Alumni are then invited to participate in an alumni/athlete erg relay where teams of 6 will work together in a competition to get their boat across the finish line first. An awards ceremony will follow at the conclusion of the alumni/athlete relay.
An evening reception, silent auction and dinner will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the club level of Reser Stadium. The evening is full of opportunities to socialize with current athletes, connect with alumni and families from across the generations and reunite with former teammates. Head coaches and current athletes will address the audience as the teams prepare to race in their first competition of the season the following weekends.
Dinner tickets can be purchased in advance at $50.00 per person. New this year is a sponsorship table. Families or businesses are able to purchase a 10 person table for $1,000. For more details check out the registration page, ROWING SPRING LAUNCH DINNER.
Men's Rowing will launch into their first race of the season on March 2nd in Las Vegas as part of the Lake Las Vegas Invite with Cornell, University of Washington and Marist College.
Women's Rowing will compete in their first race of the season the following weekend on March 9th at Redwood Shores, California in a dual against Stanford.
