Sneakers On Deck
To get the most out of the day, we're making a call to the bullpen for Sneakers On-Deck, originally scheduled for yesterday. The new date will be May 12 versus Stanford. Save your kicks for then. More details to come.
Plenty Of Offense
The teams combined for 27 hits and 10 walks on Saturday. They also combined to leave 23 on base, which is four shy of the most between Pac-12 teams this season. Oregon and Washington left 27 on base on April 15 in a 13-inning game.
Grenier To 14
Cadyn Grenier extended his hit streak to 14 games, tying Andy Armstrong for the longest on the team this season. The school record is 31 games by Jeff Brauning during the 1989 season. Nick Madrigal held the team's longest last season at 17 games.
That Didn't Take Long
Nick Madrigal singled in his first at bat Saturday, extending his hit streak to 10 games. The junior has hit safely in all five games since his return, and had hit safely in five straight in February.
Make That 38
Saturday's crowd of 3,751 extended the Beavers' streak to 38 games with 3,000 or more at Goss Stadium.
