Beavers Finish Ahead Of Oregon At Pac-12’s

ROLLING HILLS ESTATES, Calif. – The Oregon State men's golf team finished ahead of rival Oregon at the 59th Annual Pac-12 Championship on Wednesday.
The Beavers concluded the three-day, 72-hole tournament with an 11-over 352-360-360-359--1,431 at the par-71, 7,130-yard Rolling Hills Country Club to finish in 10th place and four strokes ahead of the 30th-ranked Ducks (15-over 1,435).
USC won the team title with a 31-under 1,389 and the Trojans' Justin Suh claimed medalist honors with a 16-under 268.
Sophomore Kyosuke Hara fired a 3-under 68 for the second straight round that helped him finish in a tie for 13th place with a 4-under 72-72-68-68--280. It's the second consecutive year he's led the Beavers at the Pac-12 Championship after finishing in a tie for 31st place as a freshman in Boulder, Colo.
Freshman Spencer Tibbits played well in his first Pac-12 Championship, finishing in a tie for 27th place with an even-par 69-70-73-72--284.
Sophomore Shawn Lu shot a 2-under 33 over his final nine holes and finished the event in a tie for 41st place with a 3-over 69-73-74-71--287. Freshman Keaton Gudz was a stroke back with a 4-over 70-72-71-75--288 to finish in a tie for 45th place.
Junior Trevor Yu finished in a tie for 62nd place with a 9-over 72-74-74-73--293 and junior Tom Kerkvliet finished in 68th with a 14-over 76-73-74-75--298.
Television coverage of the Pac-12 Championship will air in a tape-delayed, 30-minute special debuting on Sunday, May 6 at 10 a.m. on Pac-12 Network, Arizona, Los Angeles, Oregon and Washington.
