OSU Track & Field Wraps Up Day One in Southern California

LOS ANGELES – Oregon State University track & field wrapped up the first day of competition at the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate hosted by Long Beach State and the Bryan Clay Invitational hosted by Azusa Pacific.
The Beavers recorded five all-time top-10 marks on the first day of competition.
Ann Wingeleth set the sixth-best mark in the long jump in school history finishing in sixth place in her flight. Saskia McNairy (18-6) and Claire Corbitt (17-6) also competed.
In the pole vault sophomore Tory Edwards improved her mark on the all-time list with an 11-foot 9.75-inch clear. Edwards sits at fourth all-time in the record books.
Sydney Guthrie-Baker took a second place finish in her flight of the shot put with a throw of 44-feet, 5.25-inches. Guthrie-Baker now sits 6th all-time in the OSU record books. Jessica Molina had the best throw of the day for Oregon State, 45-feet, 0.25-inches.
The Beavers saw another all-time placing in the 100-meter hurdles from Alba Villaronga. Villaronga took first place in her heat with a 14.53 and now holds the eighth-best time in school history.
The final etch in the record book was made by Kristiane Width in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, her first attempt at the event this season. Width placed 11th with a time of 10:25.67, the second-best all-time top-10 mark.
