Beavers Set For Weekend with Oklahoma

TICKETS ON SALE NOW
• Tickets to select Oregon State softball games are now on sale at BeaverTickets.com/softball
• Tickets can be purchased for the two-game slate against Oklahoma (April 20-21)
• General admission for adults will be $9 per game, youth (ages 3-18)/senior (ages 62 ) tickets will be $7 per game, and groups of 12 or more will be $5 each
• Package deals will be available for all five games: adults - $35, youth/senior - $30
• Oklahoma series only: adult - $16, youth/senior - $12
• Seating at the Oregon State Softball Complex is all general admission, overflow seating will be standing room only on the grass berm beyond the outfield wall, folding chairs will be allowed on the grass berm
• Student tickets have to be picked up in person at the complex starting one hour prior to first pitch
• Sales, will call and student tickets will be located at the front gate, the back gate will be closed for public entrance
• Cash or check required for tickets purchased at the venue, while one window will be open at the southeast ticket booth of Reser Stadium for credit card sales
• The remaining home series against Washington (May 4-6) will be free to the public

• Oregon State continued Pacific-12 Conference play with a 3-0 series sweep on the road at Stanford (22-19, 2-10 Pac-12)
• The Beavers used power at the plate taking Game 1, 4-1
• Missy Nunes hit her first of two home runs on the weekend in game one, a two-run shot; she finished 2-for-2 on the night
• Hope Brandner contributed a one-run home run, her eighth of the year
• McKenna Arriola belted her 10th double of the season, and Jessica Garcia followed up with her second triple
• Mariah Mazon picked up her 10th win in her inaugural season for the Beavers in a 7.0 inning complete game performance fanning five
• In Game 2 the Beavers won with the same score line from the previous outing, 4-1
• Camryn Ybarra put OSU on top first in the fourth innings with an infield RBI
• Alysha Everett added to the lead with her third homer of the year, a two-run shot

• The bats came alive in Game 3 as the Beavers combined for 14 hits winning 12-1 in five innings
• OSU had a monstrous second inning scoring six runs on seven hits, and followed that up with four runs in the fourth and two in the fifth
• Nunes couldn't be stopped on the final day going 3-for-3 with one walk, five RBI and one home run
• Ybarra added three RBI of her on an a 2-for-4 performance at the plate
• Mazon (11-10) tossed her 13th complete game in the final game of the series giving up three hits while striking out three
• Oregon State welcomed in an in-state nonconference opponent in Portland State to town for a doubleheader on Tuesday
• The Beavers used an early onslaught in the first game winning 8-0, and used a Kayleen Shafer walk-off homer to win in game two, 2-1
• Garcia had four RBI on the day going 3-for-5 at the plate
• Arriola added three RBI of her own
• Meehra Nelson picked up her fourth complete game shutout in game one giving up just three hits

• Upperclassmen lead the way as McKenna Arriola, Alysha Everett and Jessica Garcia have started every game so far in 2018, with Meehra Nelson and Mariah Mazon anchoring the rotation
• Shelby Weeks, Kayleen Shafer have started in every game they have appeared in (38, 34)
• Camryn Ybarra has played in 41 games as a true freshman and started 40 of those. She hit her first career homerun at No. 4 UCLA on March. 26 and followed that up in the next game with a solo shot against No. 2/5 Oregon
• Arriola has showcased her speed on the base paths with the fifth-most stolen bases in the Pac-12 (14); she also leads the team with 10 doubles, good enough for sixth in the Pac-12
• Weeks is still the only Beaver to reach every base from the batter's box, with 31 hits, three doubles, a triple and two home runs in 2018
• Garcia has started every game in center field but one and holds a team-high in hits with 43

• The freshman Nunes has played a pivotal role in her inaugural season; Nunes is batting .283 with the third-most doubles on the squad (7), second-most home runs (6) and second-best slugging percentage (.492)
• Nunes had a breakout weekend at Stanford batting .889 going 8-for-9 at the plate. She had two doubles, two home runs, seven RBI and slugged for 1.778 with no strikeouts. She was awarded Pac-12 Freshman of the Week for her performance
• Ybarra has started 40 games at second base and is hitting .207 with nine walks, twelve RBI, 10 runs scored, two doubles and two home runs
• Kayleen Shafer has started 34 games behind the plate and has already thrown out a conference-leading eight runners attempting to steal
• Shafer threw out eight base runners as a sophomore in 2017 and gunned down nine as a freshman in 2016
• Michelle Sass has seen time split between right field, second base, and most recently left field; Sass is batting .268 with 16 runs scored, two doubles, two homers and nine RBI
• OSU is ranked No. 15 in the RPI, the highest ranking for OSU since 2007 when RPI began being kept for softball; last week the Beavers sat at 17th

• The non-conference portion of Oregon State's 2018 schedule features a gauntlet of games over the course of five tournaments and four non-conference games
• OSU opens the year with the Kajikawa Classic where four opponents made an appearance in the 2017 NCAA Regionals: Oklahoma State, BYU, Georgia and Missouri
• The Purple and Gold Challenge in Baton Rouge, La., features 2017 WCWS participant LSU along with 2017 NCAA Regional foe Louisiana Tech
• The Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic has 2017 NCAA Super Regional foes Tennessee and Auburn along with Oklahoma State again
• The San Diego Classic features 2017 NCAA Regional participant Minnesota, while OSU wraps up the non-conference schedule against 2017 defending national champion Oklahoma
