Beavers Heading South For Duck Invitational

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State men's golf team will compete at the 29th Annual Duck Invitational Monday and Tuesday in Eugene.
The Beavers won the Duck Invitational in 2014 with a 9-over 873, which was nine strokes better than second-place Minnesota and 11 better than host and third-place Oregon. Oregon State also won the team title in 1998.
Alex Moore fired the lowest individual round in Oregon State history and set the Eugene Country Club course record with a 9-under 63 in March of 2011.
Anthony Arvidson of Oregon State claimed medalist honors at this event in 1998 and 2000, while Beavers' head coach Jon Reehoorn won the individual title in 2002 while competing for Washington State.
FIELD (16): Oregon State, Arizona, Boise State, Colorado State, Denver, Fresno State, Iowa, Liberty, Loyola Marymount, Oregon, Pacific, Saint Mary's, San Jose State, Santa Clara, Seattle and UAB.
COURSE: The tournament will be held at the par-71, 7,020-yard Eugene Country Club.
BEAVERS' LINEUP: Oregon State will go with a lineup of junior Trevor Yu, sophomores Kyosuke Hara and Shawn Lu, and freshmen Keaton Gudz and Spencer Tibbits.
FORMAT: Two-day, 54-hole tournament with 36 holes on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday. The top-four individuals from each five-member team with the lowest scores for each 18-hole round constitute the scoring members for that given round.
TEE TIMES: There will be a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. on Monday with 36 holes of continuous play and a shot gun start at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday for the final round.
LIVE SCORING: There will be live scoring for the tournament on golfstat.com.

LAST TIME OUT: Kyosuke Hara fired a 2-under 70 in the final round of the Desert Mountain Intercollegiate to lead the Oregon State men's golf team at an event that was held on Saturday, March 3 and Sunday, March 4.
Hara concluded the two-day, 54-hole tournament with an even-par 70-76-70--216 to finish in a tie for 11th place. It's his best placing this season and the second best in his career (tie for sixth, Alister MacKenzie Invitational, Fall 2016).
As a team, the Beavers had their best round on the final day, an even-par 288, to finish in seventh place with a 19-over 291-304-288--883 at the par-72, 7,107-yard Desert Mountain Outlaw Course.
Spencer Tibbits recorded a top-15 finish for the fourth time in seven tournaments, this time finishing in a tie for 15th place with a 2-over 69-71-78--218.
Trevor Yu posted his best score in the final round, which helped him move nine spots up the leaderboard into 26th place with an 8-over 74-77-73--224.
Keaton Gudz also played well on Tuesday, carding a 1-under 71 that vaulted him 17 spots up the leaderboard into a tie for 43rd place with a 14-over 78-81-71--230.
Shawn Lu finished in a tie for 49th place with a 16-over 78-80-74--232.
Kansas won the team title with an 11-under 853, while Kyle Mueller and Charlie Pilon of Michigan and Dalton Hankamer of San Diego tied for the individual crown with a 4-under 212.
