Beavers Prepared For Two-Day Tournament

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State men's golf team returns to action Monday and Tuesday at the Southwestern Invitational in Westlake Village, Calif.
FIELD (15): Oregon State, Augusta, Denver, Long Beach State, Loyola Marymount, Michigan, New Mexico, Pepperdine, San Diego State, San Jose State, SMU, Tennessee, UC Davis, UCLA and Washington State.
COURSE: The tournament will be held at the par-72, 6,992-yard North Ranch Country Club.
BEAVERS' LINEUP: Oregon State will go with a lineup of senior Jonas Liebich, junior Trevor Yu, sophomores Kyosuke Hara and Shawn Lu and freshman Spencer Tibbits.
FORMAT: Two-day, 54-hole tournament with 36 holes on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday. The top-four individuals from each five-member team with the lowest scores for each 18-hole round constitute the scoring members for that given round.
TEE TIMES: There will be a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m. on Monday and tee times off the first and 10th holes beginning at 7:45 a.m. on Tuesday.
LIVE SCORING: There will be live scoring for the tournament on golfstat.com.

LAST TIME OUT: Oregon State opened its spring season with a 15th place finish at the 27th Annual Amer Ari Invitational, which was held Feb. 1-3 in Waikoloa, Hawai'i.
The Beavers played much better in the second and third rounds, finishing the three-day, 54-hole tournament with a 12-over 302-287-287--876 at the par-72, 7,074-yard Waikoloa Kings' Course.
Spencer Tibbits led Oregon State for the fifth time in as many tournaments this season, finishing in a tie for 51st place with a 1-over 74-72-71--217.
Trevor Yu finished in 71st place with a 4-over 74-72-74--220, Shawn Lu was a stroke back with a 5-over 76-70-75--221 to finish in a tie for 72nd and Kyosuke Hara got better each round to finish in a tie for 78th with a 7-over 78-73-72--223.
Keaton Gudz fired a career-best 2-under 70 in the final round that moved him into a tie for 98th place with a 13-over 80-79-70--229. His previous best score was an even-par 72 in his first collegiate round at the Mark Simpson Invitational.
Jonas Liebich competed as an individual and finished in a tie for 75th place with a 6-over 72-75-75--222.
Oklahoma State won the 18-team title with a 47-under 817 and Justin Suh of USC claimed medalist honors with a 13-under 203.
