Beavers Cruise To Exhibition Win Over Montana Tech

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Stephen Thompson Jr. and Tres Tinkle scored 20 points apiece to lead the Oregon State men's basketball team to a 103-51 win over Montana Tech in a Saturday evening exhibition game at Gill Coliseum.
The Beavers had a 20-0 run to pull away in the second half and outscored the Orediggers 55-17 in the frame.
Oregon State's depth and talent was on display as all 13 eligible players saw action in the game and 11 of them scored points.
Four other players joined Thompson Jr. and Tinkle in double figures. Ethan Thompson had 15 points, while Alfred Hollins and Zach Reichle added 11 each and Kylor Kelley chipped in 10.
Reichle had a great all-around game with his 11 points, seven rebounds, five assists and two steals. Warren Washington tied Reichle for the team lead with seven rebounds. The Thompson brothers each snagged four steals.
Oregon State shot 65.5 percent from the field, 41.2 percent from beyond the arc and 68.6 percent from the stripe.
Troy Owens Jr. led Montana Tech with 17 points.
The Beavers open their regular season on at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 6 against UC Riverside at Gill Coliseum.

Dam City Classic tickets will be included for all Oregon State men's basketball season ticket holders, giving fans a total of 17 games to watch in Corvallis and Portland during the 2018-19 season.
