
Beavers Kick-Off Pac-12 Play at Arizona State

Oregon State vs. Arizona State - Friday - 7 p.m.
THE GAME: Oregon State opens Pac-12 play this week, when it heads down to Tempe for a matchup with Arizona State. The game will kickoff at 7 p.m. on Friday.

WHAT'S COMING UP: Oregon State remains on the road next week to take on a pair of ranked opponents in No. 12/10 USC and No. 1/1 UCLA. The Beavers next home game will come on Oct. 5, when Washington visits Lorenz Field.
HISTORY WITH THE SUN DEVILS: Oregon State tallied a 2-0 victory over Arizona State last season at Lorenz Field, with both of those goals coming from then-senior Helene Haavik. Overall, the the Beavers are 7-12-1 vs. the Sun Devils dating back to their first meeting in 1997. OSU has not won in Tempe since it notched a 2-1 victory in 2011.

- Head Coach Linus Rhode is in his 10th season at the helm of the Oregon State womens soccer team, and is looking to lead the Beavers to their fourth NCAA tournament apperance under his watch.
- Prior to becoming head coach Rhode was an assistant and assosciate coach for the Beavers for eight seasons.
- The program brings on a new assistant coach this season, Vanessa Valentine. Valentine was formerly the head coach at Cal Poly.Â
