BARCELONA, Spain – The Beavers left Barcelona Friday morning and took a long bus ride to Valencia eager for the opportunity to play their first game in Spain.
Â
Once the bus rolled into the hotel and the players dropped their bags in the rooms, they made a quick dash to the beach where they had the opportunity to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery and cool water.
Â
An excellent dinner at Vlue Arribar that evening included salad, bread, calamari and giants pans of paella valenciana and paella de marisco
Â
Several members of the travel party spent the early part of Friday touring the city of Valencia. It featured tours of the Cathedral de Valencia, Llotja de la Seda and Mercat Cenral, and paddle boarding at Ciudad Artes y Ciencias.
Â
Oregon State took the court for the first time in a week and cruised to a 114-70 win over Combinado Valenciano at the Pabellon Municipal Fuente de San Luis. Click on this link for a recap and box score from the victory. What did the team get to eat after the victory? Domino's pizza.
Â
The Beavers are scheduled to play their second game of the trip on Monday.
