California won the first meeting between the teams this season, 69-58, on Jan. 21 at Gill Coliseum. Drew Eubanks posted a double-double with 22 points and 10 rebounds, and Stephen Thompson Jr. added 19 points, six rebounds and five assists. Four players scored in double figures for the Golden Bears: Ivan Rabb (18), Charlie Moore (15), Grant Mullins (12) and Jabari Bird (12).

The teams played three times last season. Oregon State won the first meeting, 77-71, on Jan. 9 at Gill Coliseum to snap a five-game losing streak in the series. Cal won the next two games, 83-71 on Feb. 13 in Berkeley and 76-68 on March 10 in the quarterfinals of the Pac-12 Tournament in Las Vegas.
