
Beavers Set School Record During Day One of Pac-12 Championships

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. — The Oregon State women's swimming team finished day one of the Pac-12 Championships with 84 points and in 9th place. 12 points separate the Beavers from sixth place Arizona State.
The first day of the Pac-12 Championship saw a school record broke in the 200-medley relay. The Beavers relay, made up of Felicia Anderson, Allie Kilroy, Andrea Young and Sophie MacEwan set a record time 1:40.72, bettering their season best of 1:42.28 that was recorded at the Husky Invitational in December 2016, which also set a pool record.
The Beavers finished 9th in the 800-freestyle relay with a time of 7:33.37, which also was faster than its season best of 7:35.58, also recorded at the Husky Invitational. The relay was made up of Czsarina Isleta, Noemie Midrez, Merritt Allen and Brooke Meyer.
The Pac-12 Championships will continue tomorrow starting at noon with preliminaries in the 500-free, 200-IM and 50-free. For complete schedule of events click HERE.
