Coaches Pick Oregon State To Win Pac-12

The Beavers received eight first-place votes
SAN FRANCISCO – The Oregon State baseball team has been projected to win the Pac-12 Conference in 2017 by a vote of the league's coaches, it was announced on Thursday.
The Beavers, ranked in the top 10 of all six national polls, received 97 points, eight ahead of Stanford, which garnered 89 total. Oregon State received eight first-place votes. Stanford, meanwhile, had two.
Arizona is projected to finish third with 78 points, two ahead of Washington, which also received a first-place vote. The coaches ranked UCLA (54 points) fifth, while Utah (49) was sixth. Utah is followed by Arizona State (48) and Oregon (45). California (31) is projected at No. 9, followed by USC (27) and Washington State (11).
Coaches were unable to vote for their own teams.
Oregon State opens the 2017 season Feb. 17 in Surprise, Ariz., when taking on Duke to start the Sanderson Ford College Baseball Classic.
