The Game —
- Oregon State returns to Reser Stadium for an early afternoon matchup with Colorado on Saturday. Kickoff is slated for 1:07 p.m. PT.
- The game is slated to air on the Pac-12 Network, including Pac-12 Oregon. The Pac-12 Network can be found on Dish Network (406), Xfinity/Comcast (Network: 421 and 720 HD, Oregon: 420) and Charter Spectrum (332/452). Consult your provider for other listings.
- Every game this season can be heard live via the TuneIn application, which is available online and on smartphones and tablets. To find the game, once the app has been downloaded, search "Beaver Sports Network."
- The game marks the 10th matchup all-time between the teams dating back to the first meeting in 1931, a 16-0 Oregon State victory. The Beavers hold a 5-4 advantage in the series.
- Interim head coach Cory Hall leads OSU for the first time Saturday.
- Oregon State will be honoring the 1967 "Giant Killers" at Saturday's game, for the team's 50th anniversary. That season saw the team go 7-2-1, with wins over No. 1 USC (3-0) and No. 2 Purdue (22-24) with a 16-16 tie at No. 2 UCLA. That team also went 4-1-1 in road games.
On This Date —
- Oregon State last played on October 14 in 2006, defeating Washington, 27-17, before more than 62,000 fans in Seattle.
- The Beavers have played on this date nine times previously, going 5-4-1.
- The tie, a 17-17 finish against Arizona State in 1989, was one of the last in school history. The final one came in 1992 against Arizona, a 14-14 deadlock at then-Parker Stadium.
Hall Named Interim HC —
- Assistant Coach Cory Hall was named Oregon State's Interim Head Coach on Monday after Gary Andersen stepped down as head coach.
- Hall joined the Oregon State program in January 2016 after one season as the cornerbacks coach at Weber State. He has been the cornerbacks coach at OSU since.
- Hall played safety at Fresno State from 1995-98 before being a third-round selection by the NFL's Cincinnati Bengals in 1999.
- A Bakersfield, Calif., native, he played six seasons in the NFL - four with the Bengals and two with the Atlanta Falcons. Hall appeared in 87 career games, including 70 starts, and made 193 tackles with three interceptions, two forced fumbles and seven pass deflections.
- He has also served as the head coach at Clovis High School in California (from 2011-13). He was an assistant at Clovis from 2008-11.
- Hall was a graduate assistant coach with the defense at Wisconsin in 2014 and a graduate assistant at Washington State in 2006.
Against Colorado —
- Oregon State has a limited history with the Buffaloes, holding a 5-4-1 lead in the series that dates back to 1931.
- The teams had met just five times prior to Colorado's entry into the now Pac-12. The 2013 matchup at Reser Stadium was the first game between the teams since a 28-21 win by Colorado in 1988.
- The 2013 game was the first between the teams in Corvallis. Colorado had twice visited the state of Oregon to play the Beavers, but the 1931 and 1963 games (both Oregon State victories) were played in Portland.
- Sean Mannion passed for 414 yards and six touchdowns, two each to Brandin Cooks and Caleb Smith, in the 2013 meeting. Mannion's six touchdowns mark an Oregon State single-game record. And his total passing yardage ranks as the 11th-most at OSU.
- Andre Harris' 22 tackles against Colorado in 1988 is tied for the Oregon State single-game record.
- Artavis Pierce ran for 61 yards and Seth Collins caught five passes for 55 yards in last season's matchup, held in Boulder. Among returners, Brandon Arnold, Manase Hungalu, Jonathan Willis and Bright Ugewoegbu all had seven tackles. One of Willis' seven tackles was for a loss.
OSU/Colorado Connections —
- Only one Beaver hails from the state of Colorado - Jalen Moore, who attended Denver East High School before transferring to Upland High School in Southern California. He was rated as the No. 3 safety in the state of Colorado during his tenure.
- Assistant coach Dave Baldwin was 0-1 against Colorado while head coach at San Jose State. The Buffaloes won, 65-38, in 1999 in Boulder. The teams combined for 158 plays from scrimmage, 64 first downs and 1,274 yards, with 507 by San Jose State.
More On The Giant Killers —
- Â The 1967 team finished No. 7 in the Associated Press Poll and No. 8 in the United Press International Poll. OSU finished with a 7-2-1 record, and tied for second in the conference.
- Dee Andros was in his third year as head coach. Jon Sandstrom and Jess Lewis earned All-American honors. Bill Enyart, Gary Houser and Dave Marlette were all-conference selections, and Enyart also was an Academic All-American.
- Team captains were Marlette and Skip Vanderbundt.
- Other awards included Enyart and Harry Gunner as Most Improved, Vanderbundt and Steve Preece shared MVP honors, and Marlette won the Attitude and Scholarship Award.
- The team was inducted into the State of Oregon Sports Hall of Fame in 1992.
Hoops Saturday —
- The Oregon State men's basketball team will have an open practice prior to Saturday's game.
- The open workout, which will last between 10:30 a.m. and approximately 11 a.m., will be held at Gill Coliseum.
Strength Of Schedule —
- Oregon State's strength of schedule is at No. 2, per Sagarin, entering the game with Colorado. That jumped from No. 9 after the Beavers took on USC last Saturday, after playing Washington State and Washington in the two previous games.
- OSU's strength of schedule ranks only behind Florida State. Arizona State (No. 6) and California (No. 8) are other Pac-12 Conference teams in the top 10 for SOS.
- All five of the Beavers' FBS opponents this season so far have winning records entering this weekend, going a combined 24-5 (.828). That includes top-25 teams Washington State, Washington and USC who are a combined 17-1.
- OSU's final seven regular-season opponents - Colorado, Stanford, California, Arizona, Arizona State and Oregon - are a combined 19-15 (.559).
Sixty-Five Candles —
- Oregon State University is celebrating Benny Beaver's 65th birthday this year. Benny Beaver made his official debut Oct. 4, 1952 in an Oregon State College (as known then) against Michigan State at Portland's Multnomah Stadium.
- Ken Austin created the first Benny Beaver costume and would be the first to serve as the lovable mascot, who officially celebrated his birthday Sept. 29 at Reser Stadium.
- Austin, along with his wife, Joan D., are amongst the university's biggest donors and OSU's new College of Business building is named in their honor – Austin Hall.
Reser —
- Prior to the 1999 season, Parker Stadium was renamed Reser Stadium after the late Al and his wife Pat Reser; the duo made a seven-figure gift to OSU Athletics. Pat, who celebrated her birthday last Saturday, served as chair of the university's board of trustees and is an Honorary Trustee of the OSU Foundation.Â
Miltary Appreciation —
- As a small token of appreciation to those who have given so much to defend and serve the United States of America, Oregon State Athletics is offering two complimentary tickets to Beaver football's November 18 game against Arizona State to verified military personnel, including both active personnel and veterans.
- Service members and veterans can also purchase additional tickets for 50% off regular price.

Nall For 100 —
- Ryan Nall's 118 rushing yards against Washington State gave him eight such efforts in his career. That ties him with Bryce Oglesby (1980-83) for ninth-most at OSU.
- Nall can move into a tie for seventh with Bill Enyart (1966-68) and J.J. Young (1991-94) with his ninth.
- He now has an Oregon State record three carries of at least 75 yards in his career after scoring on a 75-yarder against CSU. His others include 89 yards against Washington State and 80 against California, both coming in 2016.
From Hawai'i —
- Twelve players hail from the state of Hawai'i, which gives Oregon State the most players to hail from the islands, aside from the University of Hawai'i.
- Hawaiian natives Moku Watson, Kesi Ah-Hoy, Alexander Skelton, Keli'i Montibon and Onesimus Clarke joined the program in 2017.
Dream Come True —
- Unitus Community Credit Union and Oregon State have partnered to create the "Dream Come True" Program to fulfill one child's dream. It is designed for children who are or have battled an unfortunate illness and includes hosting a child for every home Beaver football game during the 2017 season. Dream Come True will help provide a lasting experience to children eighth grade age or younger (per NCAA regulations) and their families who are facing or have faced an unfortunate time of illness. For more information, visit osubeavers.com/dreamcometrue.
- This game's Unitus participant is Ethan from Banks, Ore. He was recently declared cancer free in July (he had Medulloblastoma, a form of brain cancer).
- He loves fishing, the beach and his new Corgi puppy, Sophie. He and his father are both big Beaver fans.
- Ethan will be joining the team Saturday as well as at walk through on Friday.
First-Time Starters —
- Nine players have made their first collegiate starts this season. They include: Trent Moore, Isaiah Hodgins, Trevon Bradford, Shemar Smith, David Morris, Shawn Wilson, Austin Hudson, Isaiah Dunn and Kyle White. Hodgins, Morris and Dunn are true freshmen.
- Additionally, quarterback Jake Luton, who now has five career collegiate starts, made his first for the Beavers in the season opener against Colorado State.
