Last Game
Nick Madrigal drove in the Beavers' lone run via a fielder's choice in the ninth, and Cadyn Grenier went 2-for-4 in Oregon State's 4-1 loss to Arizona Saturday at Hi Corbett Field. Christian Donahue also had two hits for the Beavers, who totaled eight overall.
Another Madrigal Note
• Nick Madrigal extended his hit streak to 14 games with a 1-for-4 effort on Saturday, drivinfg in a run in the ninth inning.
• Madrigal is 22-for-64 (.344) during the streak. The 14-gamer ties his season long.
• The freshman has a hit in 40 of the team's 43 games. He reached safely via walks in two of his three games without a hit.
• A hit Sunday would give the Beavers two players with 15 gamers in back-to-back seasons. Jeff Hendrix had a 15-game hit streak in 2015.
• Madrigal accepted an invitation to compete for the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team this week. It was announced on Friday.
Defense
• Oregon State has gone errorless in seven of the team's last 11 games.
• The Beavers have committed just four errors over those 11 games. Oregon State's fielding percentage over that stretch is .991.
• Oregon State's season fielding percentage is at .972 both overall and in Pac-12 Conference games.
