Softball Adds Lindsey Goubeaux to Incoming Class
May 04, 2016 | Softball
CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State softball team and head coach Laura Berg announced the addition of newcomer Lindsey Goubeaux to the program's incoming class on Wednesday.
Goubeaux, who joins the Beavers from San Jose, Calif., will be eligible to compete for Oregon State next season. She joins a class of newcomers that already includes Nerissa Eason (Grass Valley, Calif.), Sierra Mark (Las Vegas, Nev.), Stephanie Merwin (Richland, Wash.) and Fallon Molnar (Morro Bay, Calif.).
“Lindsey is going to be a great addition to our program,” Berg said. “She's a strong hitter who will come in next year and push everyone for a starting position. She'll have some big at-bats for us.”
A four-year letterwinner in softball and team captain at Archbishop Mitty High School, Goubeaux helped the Monarchs to three-straight Western Catholic Athletic League championships from 2013-15. Additionally, Archbishop Mitty won Central Coast Section championships with Goubeaux in 2014 and 2015.
Individually, Goubeaux has been named an all-conference and all-league performer, earning both honors following her junior year. That season, Goubeaux hit .370 with seven doubles and 16 runs batted in.
