Last Game
Christian Donahue's bases-loaded walk on a 3-1 pitch in the ninth drove in the game-winning run for Oregon State in a 3-2 win over Stanford Friday night at Goss Stadium. Steven Kwan tied the game on a bunt single earlier in the inning as the Beavers overcame a 2-1 deficit to start the frame. KJ Harrison homered in the fourth for Oregon State's first run of the game. Travis Eckert scattered seven hits and two runs over eight innings in a start.
Against Stanford
• Oregon State has won 12 straight over the Cardinal, the longest streak for the Beavers in the series.
• The Beavers have tallied wins in 15 of the last 16 games. The lone Stanford win over that stretch was an 8-2 decision in 2012.
• OSU has won five consecutive series over Stanford.
• The Beavers have won six straight games at Goss Stadium, which ties the longest home win streak in the series for OSU (previously set from 2006-08).
• Head coach Pat Casey owns 32 of the Beavers' 40 all-time victories (80 percent).
Heimlich Note
• Saturday's probable starter, Luke Heimlich, is 2-0 with a 1.45 earned run average in six games at Goss Stadium this season.
• Saturday's game will be his third start at Goss. In his previous two, against Washington and Central Arkansas, he has combined to allow one run and one walk with nine strikeouts in 14 innings.
• Heimlich made two appearances against Stanford in 2015. He picked up a save and allowed four hits and a run in three innings.
A Little Separation
• By winning Friday's game, the Beavers remain just one game out of first place, behind Washington and Utah, which are both 10-6.
• Oregon State is tied with Arizona, which is at 11-9 on the year.
• The Beavers are a combined 7-2 against Washington, Utah and Arizona State, three of the top five teams in the standings. OSU takes on Arizona next weekend in Tucson.
Singles
• Oregon State's win Friday marked the Beavers' first this season when trailing after eight innings.
• Stanford got on the board first Friday, and OSU is now 6-7 when the opponent takes the first lead.
• The Beavers are 14-0 when holding an opponent to two runs or less. OSU is 7-0 at Goss Stadium.
