Softball Announces Three Newcomers for 2017 Class
April 19, 2016 | Softball
CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State softball team and head coach Laura Berg announced the additions of three incoming student-athletes for the class of 2017 on Tuesday.
Included amongst the three additions to the 2017 class are newcomers Sierra Mark, Stephanie Merwin and Fallon Molnar. The three newcomers, as well as pitcher Nerissa Eason, who signed with OSU in the fall, will compete for the Beavers next season.
“I'm excited to welcome this group of newcomers,” Oregon State head coach Laura Berg said. “Stephanie Merwin is a utility-type athlete and has a work ethic that's second-to-none. We know she's going to work hard. Who knows what position she'll play – she could play infield, she could play outfield. She could play anywhere. I'm excited to see what she can do. I can't wait for Sierra and Fallon to get here. They're both strong kids and they're going to be big-time power hitters for us. They're going to do some great things here, too.”
