The Game
Oregon State opens up play in San Diego against the Toreros Friday night at Fowler Park on the USD campus. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m. PT.

Last Game
Luke Heimlich held Kansas to four hits and a walk in seven scoreless innings and Kyle Nobach drove in two with a sixth-inning single to send Oregon State to a 3-1 win Sunday in Suprise, Ariz. Heimlich struck out three to improve to 2-0 this season. Nick Madrigal drove in the game's first run in the third, then watched as Nobach gave the Beavers breathing room with a two-out single in the sixth. Max Engelbrekt earned his fourth save of 2016.

• Due to a conflict with the Portland Trail Blazers, Friday's game will air on KEX 1190 AM in the Portland area.
• In Corvallis, the game will air on KTHH 990 AM. Oregon State women's basketball will air on KEJO 1240 AM.
• On Saturday, the Beavers will return to Rip City Radio 620 AM in Portland, and stay on KTHH 990 AM in the Corvallis/Albany region. Oregon State men's basketball will air on KEJO 1240 AM.

Engelbrekt's Return
• Max Engelbrekt has appeared in five of the Beavers' eight games this season. The lefty has recorded four saves over his five appearances.
• Opponents are batting .192 against him, tallying five hits in 6 2/3 innings. He has allowed one run, unearned, while striking out eight.
• He struck out a career-high four in Sunday's 3-1 win over Kansas, his fourth save of 2016.
Against San Diego
• The Beavers are returning to San Diego for the first time since 2013, when they went 1-2 against the Toreros.
• That series featured two future first-round draft choices in Kris Bryant and Michael Conforto.
• Conforto was 6-for-14 with a double and three RBI. Bryant was 4-for-12 with two home runs and five RBI.
• The teams combined for 65 hits and 46 runs over the three games.
On The Road
• Friday's game marks the first true road contest for the Beavers in 2016.
