CORVALLIS, Ore. – Nick Madrigal and Logan Ice each recorded two hits but the fourth-ranked Oregon State baseball team lost to San Francisco, 5-0, Sunday afternoon at Goss Stadium at Coleman Field.

The loss snaps an 11-game win streak for the Beavers, who still won the series over the Dons by winning 8-5 Friday and 4-0 on Saturday.

Travis Eckert worked 7 1/3 innings in his fourth start of the season, scattering three hits and two runs – one earned – with one walk. He took the loss to drop to 1-1 this season.

Madrigal and Ice combined for four of the Beavers' (12-2 overall) seven hits, each singling twice.

The Dons (3-14) scored a solo run in the third, but added four runs in the eighth for the five-run advantage. James Kannenberg took advantage of USF's run support, holding the Beavers to six hits and two walks over 6 1/3 innings. He improved to 1-1 this season.

Blake Valley and Ryan Matranga each drove in two to lead San Francisco offensively.

Oregon State opens Pac-12 Conference action Friday when taking on Arizona State in the opener of a three-game series at Goss Stadium. First pitch is slated for 5:35 p.m. PT. Tickets are available and can be purchased by visiting BeaverTickets.com.

The ticket office at Goss Stadium will open two hours prior to first pitch. Student tickets will be distributed at Gate 6 starting two hours before first pitch.
