
Beavers Look For Sweep Saturday Against Buffs

THE GAME: Oregon State (13-8, 4-6 Pac-12) goes for the home sweep of the Mountain schools when it hosts Colorado (17-6, 6-4) at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday at Gill Coliseum.
TELEVISION: The game will be televised on Pac-12 Networks and Pac-12 Oregon with Ted Robinson and Lamar Hurd calling the action and Ashley Adamson reporting from the sideline.

QUICKLY: Oregon State became the 22nd men's basketball program to win 1,700 games ... The Beavers have fewer turnovers than their opponent in all 10 Pac-12 games ... vs. COLORADO: Oregon State and Colorado meet for the 18th time with the Buffaloes holding a 12-5 advantage. Four of Oregon State's five wins in the series have come at Gill Coliseum where they have a 4-2 edge against the Buffs.
Colorado won the first meeting this season, 71-54, on Jan. 13 at the Coors Events Center in Boulder. Gary Payton II was spectacular for the Beavers, finishing with 26 points, 15 rebounds, three assists and three steals.
The Beavers won at home season, 72-58, on Feb. 21, 2015. Payton II had 24 points and an Oregon State single-game record seven blocked shots. Oregon State also set a single-game team record with 13 blocked shots.
They met again the first round of last year's Pac-12 Tournament in Las Vegas with Colorado winning 78-71 on March 11, 2015. Malcolm Duvivier and Payton II each scored 17 points and Olaf Schaftenaar made four 3-pointers to finish with 16.
Since Colorado became a member of the Pac-12 in 2011, the Buffaloes have won six of the nine games, including two in the Pac-12 Tournament.
A WIN OVER THE BUFFALOES: If Oregon State defeats Colorado it will improve to 14-8 overall and 5-6 in Pac-12 play. It would also:
- Be Oregon State's first home sweep over the Mountain schools since 2012.
- Be Oregon State's third consecutive Pac-12 home win.
- Be Oregon State's 10th win at Gill Coliseum this season (15-2 last season).
