D?Arpino, McKenzie win events

D'Arpino won the 400 in 56.92; McKenzie captured the long jump in 18-3.25. They helped lead the Beavers to wins over Portland (153-112) and Seattle (161-121) and to a 145-145 tie with Portland State in dual-meet competition.
Holly Cavalluzzo (mile), Lucinda Howard (triple jump, long jump), and Devin Collins (60 hurdles) placed second in their events.
Career top-10 marks were posted by:
· Devin Collins in the 60 hurdles (#4, 8.80). She took second in the event; Kara Hallock (8.96) was third.
· Saskia McNairy in the long jump (#5, 17-6.25). She was sixth behind McKenzie and Howard (18-3).
· Cavalluzzo in the mile (#6, 4:56.64). She took second in the event; Kira Kelly (5:03.66) was fifth, Gwyneth McMorris (5:06.09) was eighth.
· Kerissa D'Arpino in the 400 (#3, 57.18); she took third place.
· Juliana Mount (#2, 2:15.25) and Morgan Anderson (#3, 2:15.26) in the 800. Mount placed fourth, Anderson fifth.
· Howard (#2, 37-4) and Bethany Imperial (#3, 36-10.25) in the triple jump. School record-holder Michele Turney placed fourth (36-11); Imperial took fifth.
The Beavers will compete at the House of Track High Performance Meet #4 on Friday.
Also on Thursday, Director of Operations Geena Gall placed third in the invitational 800 in 2:05.56.
