Corvallis, Ore. – Three Oregon State wrestlers remained in the national rankings in their respective weight classes this week, and the Beavers returned to InterMat's team or tournament rankings.
Redshirt sophomore heavyweight Amarveer Dhesi (pictured, 23-3) remained ranked No. 9 by The Open Mat and No. 10 by InterMat. He has won nine consecutive matches since losing three in a row in early January, and has a team-high seven pins.
Redshirt junior Joey Palmer (22-9) remained No. 19 in The Open Mat's rankings, but is not in InterMat's top 20.
Sophomore 125-pounder Ronnie Bresser (25-6) remained No. 7 in InterMat's rankings and moved up two spots to No. 7 in The Open Mat's poll. He has won four consecutive matches.
OSU (10-6, 2-2 Pac-12) concludes the regular season at 11 a.m. Sunday with the annual Border War against Boise State (3-8, 1-3) at Gill Coliseum. The Beavers have won three straight against the Broncos and lead the all-time series 31-17-1.
The Pacific-12 Conference meet is Feb. 27 at Arizona State. The Beavers are four-time defending champions; tickets for the event are now available at the ASU website, thesundevils.com.
