January 25, 2016 | Baseball
CORVALLIS, Ore. – Four preseason rankings for the 2016 collegiate baseball season have been released, and it's clear Oregon State is highly regarded.
On Monday, Baseball America became the fourth to publish its preseason top 25, and like the previous three – Collegiate Baseball, Perfect Game and D1Baseball.com – the Beavers find themselves in the top 10. Baseball America has Oregon State at No. 5, trailing only Florida, Louisville, Texas A&M and Virginia.
The Beavers are also the highest ranked of five teams from the Pac-12 Conference. That has been the case in all four top 25 rankings.
D1Baseball.com also has the Beavers at No. 5, while Perfect Game places OSU at No. 6 and Collegiate Baseball has the club pegged at No. 8 to open 2016.
