Italy Day 6: Venice

VENICE, Italy – After spending two days in Florence, the Beavers headed to Italy's Adriatic coast on Monday, as the team took the day to enjoy Venice.
Oregon State began the day with a bus ride, before taking a water-taxi into Venice. From there, the squad explored the canals, enjoyed the local shopping, sampled the cuisine, toured St. Mark's Basilica and even had pigeons eat out of their hands.
“We saw a lot of cool things today,” said redshirt-sophomore Breanna Brown. “It was really cool to see St. Mark's, and the water-taxi and the canals were very cool to experience. The pigeons here are really bold too, they will come up and land on your arms.”
“I thought the church was the best thing we saw today,” said senior Jen'Von'Ta Hill. “The art was beautiful, and there was so much history there. It was incredible.”
After spending the day roaming the island, the Beavers bussed a short distance to the city of Treviso, where they will take a walking tour tomorrow. Tuesday evening will be capped off with Oregon State's third game of the tour, when the Beavers face SSD Reyer Venezia.
