
Beavers Remain at No. 7 in the Coaches' Poll

CORVALLIS – The Oregon State women's basketball team remained static in the USA Today/WBCA Coaches' Poll this week, staying put at No. 7 to match the highest ranking in school history for the second consecutive week. The Beavers also came in at No. 7 in the Associated Press rankings, which were released yesterday.
Oregon State has opened the season 3-0 for the third consecutive year, most recently earning a win over UC Riverside Sunday afternoon. All three of the Beavers' victories this year have come by 20 points or more, including a 65-point win over Longwood in the season-opener.
The Beavers lead the nation in field goal percentage (57.1 percent) and rebound margin (+27.0), and are second in the nation in 3-point percentage (50.9).
Individually, senior Jamie Weisner leads the way for the Beavers, averaging 20 points per game, tied for third in the Pac-12, and leads the conference in field goal percentage at 66.7 percent. Junior Sydney Wiese is averaging 14.0 points per contest, and is coming off a 22-point performance against the Highlanders. The Tempe, Ariz., native is also tied for the team lead with 20 rebounds this season, and is tops on the team with 18 assists.
Oregon State will head to Puerto Rico this week, as it begins a stretch of three games away from Corvallis. The Beavers will take on Hofstra Friday and Arkansas Saturday in San Juan. Live streams for both games will be available on osubeavers.com.
