Pac-12 Championships - Final Results
VALENCIA, Calif. - For the first time in school history, the Oregon State women's golf team had three players finish in the top 25 at the Pac-12 Championships, but the Beavers most likely concluded their season with an eighth place finish at the conference tournament on Wednesday.
The field for the NCAA Division I Women's Golf Regionals will be announced on Tuesday, April 30 at 6 p.m. on a selection show on NCAA.com, but Oregon State head coach Risë Alexander doesn't expect the Beavers to make it for a second consecutive year.
"This team is an NCAA Regional-caliber team that most likely will not be selected to advance," Alexander said. "But they can hold their heads high with their play throughout this season. In the most competitive venues they have played very well all season. This team will all be back and will feed off this competitive finish to motivate them for a great year next year.
"I believe this may be our best finish in many years at the conference championship. Six of the teams in this conference are ranked in the top 15 nationally, which puts things in perspective. I am proud of our play this week and look forward to continuing to work on some things in the offseason as we prepare for the 2013-14 season."

The Beavers concluded the three-day, 54-hole tournament with a 36-over 303-297-300--900 at the par-72, 6,300-yard Valencia Country Club to finish eighth in the 11-team field. No. 1 USC ran away with the team title with an 11-under 853, while Washington (13-over 877) finished second and UCLA (15-over 879) placed third.
The youth of Oregon State's team has been obvious all season, as all five student-athletes who competed in the majority of the tournaments, including the Pac-12 Championships, are expected back next season.
Three of them - freshman Anica Yoo and junior Seshia Telles - finished in the top 25, marking the first time the program has had that many players finish that high in the history of the conference tournament.
Saelee and Yoo each finished in a tie for 20th place with a 7-over 223, as Saelee went 75-74-74 and Yoo shot 74-73-76 over the three rounds. It's the second career top-20 finish for Saelee and 10th for Yoo. Telles finished in a tie for 24th place with an 8-over 78-70-76--224 and will return for her senior campaign as Oregon State's career scoring average leader.
Junior Lauren Sewell shot her best round of the Pac-12's on Wednesday with a 2-over 74, which included four birdies, to improve eight spots on the leaderboard and move into a tie for 36th with a 14-over 76-80-74--230. Freshman Ashlee Pickerell, who joined the team this spring after transferring from the University of Tennessee, finished sole 53rd with a 31-over 80-80-87--247.
Annie Park of USC edged out teammate Sophia Popov by two strokes to claim medalist honors with a 7-under 209.
