BERKELEY, Calif. - The No. 7 Oregon State gymnastics team reached the 197-point plateau for the first time this season and finished first at California's quad meet Sunday afternoon. The Beavers hit all 24 routines en route to beating No. 2 Stanford and No. 18 Denver as well as California. OSU's Makayla Stambaugh tied her career-high with a 39.525 to win the all-around title.

"We had some challenges in warm-ups due to illnesses. We changed our lineup and these gymnasts really came through," head coach Tanya Chaplin said. "I reminded them before the meet that we never want to miss opportunites in anything we do. We are committed to going all out every time - that no matter what we'll fight start to finish. And that's what we saw today."
Oregon State, which has been ranked No. 2 in the nation on the uneven bars for the last eight weeks, opened the meet with an outstanding rotation establishing a big lead the Beavers refused to relinquish with an opening rotation score of 49.400.
