Team Notes
• Oregon State committed fewer turnovers (15) than its opponent (25) for the fifth time in five games this season. The Beavers have forced 20 or more turnovers in three of their five games.
• The Beavers had 16 steals against Howard. They had 17 against Seattle and 15 against Charlotte. Their season-high in steals last year was 14 in three different games.
• The Beavers have scored 80 points or more in three of their first five games. They scored 80 or more points in only one of their 32 games last season.
• Oregon State had four players score in double figures (Johnson 17, Cunningham 15, Burton 15 and Starks 13) for the fourth time in five games this season. The Beavers had four players score in double-figures in only four of their 32 games last season.
• The Beavers had 22 assists on 27 baskets against Howard. It's the second consecutive game they've had more than 20 assists (21 vs. Charlotte). Oregon State had 20 or more assists in only one game last season.
Player Notes
• Senior forward Omari Johnson led the team in scoring (17) for the third time in five games this season and rebounding (8) for the fourth time in five games.
• Senior guard Lathen Wallace had a career-high five steals. His previous career-high was three steals in two different games.
• Sophomore forward Joe Burton tied a career-high with 15 points. He scored 15 points against Texas Tech on Nov. 15, 2009. He had a career-high seven field goals made and 13 field goals attempted.
• Freshman guard Ahmad Starks played a career-high 33 minutes and made three three-pointers for the first time in his career.
• Freshman forward Eric Moreland scored his first career points for Oregon State on a layup in the second half.
