CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) - Philip Ricci had 24 points and 11 rebounds as Oregon State defeated Indiana-Purdue Fort Wayne 84-59 Thursday night.
Brian Jackson added 14 points, and Joe See added 13 for the Beavers (7-4).
Nick Wise led Fort Wayne (2-10) with 16 points. Terry Collins added 14 and Jeremy King scored 10.
It was Oregon State's first game this season decided by more than 10 points.
The Beavers scored the first nine points of the second half to take a 46-28 lead.
Another run later in the half pushed Oregon State's lead to 28 points with 3:08 to play.
Oregon State shot 48 percent from the field, including 50 percent from 3-point range.
The Beavers also outrebounded Fort Wayne 46-27.
Fort Wayne, in its first year as a Division I program, has lost all nine of its road games.
The win was Oregon State's 1,499th as a program. The Beavers would become the first Pacific-10 program to reach 1,500 wins with a win against Lehigh on Dec. 31.
