Beavers Fall To Ducks, 68-51

CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) - Shaquala Williams scored 25 points to lead No. 24 Oregon past Oregon State 68-51 Saturday in the Pacific-10 opener for both teams.
Williams, last season's conference freshman of the year, scored 13 of Oregon's 15 points in the final six minutes. Brianne Meharry and Nicole Strange added 12 points each for the Ducks (10-3).
Sissel Pierce led Oregon State (4-9) with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Felicia Ragland also scored 17 for the Beavers, 15 of which came in the first half.
The two teams traded the lead six times in the first half as Oregon went into the break ahead 34-28.
But Oregon State closed within 38-37 on a jump shot by Chassie Wiersma 5:30 into the second half.
