Mike McDonald is in his sixth year as Oregon State’s head football strength and conditioning coach.
McDonald arrived at OSU after serving as the assistant strength and conditioning coach at the University of Washington from 2014-17 on a staff that included Beaver head coach Jonathan Smith. McDonald was a key figure in helping Washington to the 2016 College Football Playoff and an appearance in the Fiesta Bowl. Overall, he has been a part of nine bowl games.
He is certified by several professional organizations, including the National Strength and Conditioning Association and the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association. The former Purdue football student-athlete also has been on the strength and conditioning staffs at Washington State and Boise State.
McDonald and his wife, Telia, are parents to twins, Tyson Howard and Maya Ruth.
