Matagi, Timoteo and Vadrawale Selected To Polynesian Player Of The Year Watch List

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State's Daniel Matagi, Josiah Timoteo and Salasa Vadrawale III have been selected to the preseason watch list for the Polynesian College Football Player of the Year Award, it was announced Thursday.

The three help comprise the 69-player list representing 36 programs.

Matagi is in his first season with the Beavers after transferring from Portland State. The defensive tackle and native of Chehalis, Wash., totaled 16 tackles for the Vikings last season, adding 3.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks. He also recorded 38 tackles with nine tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks over two seasons at Central Washington.

Timoteo, an offensive lineman from Waianae, Hawai'i, played nine games for the Beavers in 2025, his first in Corvallis, and made six starts. He also played in 15 games over two seasons for Nevada prior to coming to Corvallis, tallying nine starts.

Vadrawale hails from Rohnert Park, Calif. The defensive back is in his third season with the Beavers, and enters 2026 with 61 tackles in 24 games as a Beaver. He has two interceptions at Oregon State, adding 11 pass deflections and two tackles for loss. He also played in three games at California before transferring to OSU.

Finalists for the 2026 honor will be selected December 8 and the winner will be announced one week later.
