Daniel Akey joined the Oregon State football program as an offensive quality control analyst in 2025. He came to Corvallis after three seasons at Central Michigan.
He worked on the defensive side of the ball as a student assistant at Central Michigan, including direct assistance with the linebackers and defensive backs. His tenure came after working at Washington State from 2017-21, where he assisted with the quarterbacks, running backs and wide receivers. He assisted with film breakdown and was in the press box during games.
Akey spent six months as an equipment intern with Washington of the NFL.
