Britnie Jones is entering her second year as a volunteer coach for the Beavers after concluding a four-year career as a rower.
As a senior at Oregon State, Jones was named captain of the Oregon State crew. Overall, Jones spent two years as a member of the Beavers' Varsity 8+ crew, including the OSU crew that upset then-No. 8 Washington. As a member of the Beavers Novice 8+ crew her freshman year, Jones helped Oregon State to a third-place finish in the Pac-10 Championships.
In addition to her contribution to the Beavers success on the water, Jones was also a standout in the classroom. After receiving honorable mention to thePac-10 All-Academic team her sophomore and junior years, Britnie was named to the Pac-10 All-Academic second team for her senior year.
